Neutral Zone Analysis: 2014-2015 Season: Games 24 vs New Jersey

G24

Game 24 started okay and for two periods the Isles were the better team, only to get hemmed repeatedly in the third, resulting in a negative possession game.  That wasn’t about suddenly being outplayed in the Neutral zone – the Isles simply couldn’t get the puck out of the zone, so the Devils managed a strong .54 unblocked shot attempts per entry and .73 per carry-in.  This seemed mainly to be an exhaustion thing to go along with the fact the Isles were playing without 2 of their D-Men.
